Connectivity Based Reserve Planning Tool

The research aims to provide a modeling tool to be utilized in a reserve planning context to help maintain connectivity (connected landscapes for animal gene flow and migration). There have been many studies involving the methods of modeling connectivity, and the team is searching for possible improvements in this area, specifically for the purpose of implementing a model that can be embedded in a broader conservation planning model, and that can be computationally tractable for a large scale problem. The future work will involve establishing the new mathematical model to optimize connectivity.
